Breakfast that kids love:

Here is something that worked with our 15 month old. We tried various recipes for breakfast - but one thing that kids always want is "change". If you try to give them something without a break, they turn away and you can never force them to eat - that is the rule. But well, there are exceptions to rules - such as this.

Whole grains is always good, both for you and your kid. We took a couple of whole grain cereals - Raisin Bran and Honey Bunches of Oats. Mix them in equal amounts (dont worry if you dont stock up on both, it will work even if you choose one of these - but usually, the taste of "honey" in the Bunches of Oats helps them adapt to this quickly). Remove raisins from the Raisin Bran and Almond pieces from the Honey Bunches if you think he can't chew on them. Crush the cereal with your fingers so that it turns into little pieces (not so much as to make a powder). Add Soy Milk (Natural Silk, for example, as shown, which is available everywhere, need not necessarily the brand shown). Let the mixture soak for an hour and go for it. This is working for our child for the past couple of months - I am sure your kid will love this too. We asked and found out from our pediatrician that Soy Milk is safe for babies over 1 year old (You can find from yours if you want to make sure - especially if you know that your kid is allergic).

We eat the Raisin Bran and Honey Bunches of Oats ourselves, hence we tried his breakfast with them. This process can be followed with any other cereal of your choice and see how it works. This breakfast can be made with regular milk, but we felt that Soy Milk has a distinct taste that makes it more attractive for both kids and adults alike.
